Chia seeds are tiny seeds once consumed by the Aztecs and now finding their way into many modern kitchens. Available in black and white varieties they can be included in a wide range of dishes for babies including puddings, porridge, fruit and vegetable purees as well as baked into muffins, biscuits or bars.

I have included a collection of ten baby chia seed puree and finger food recipes for you to try below.

1.Baby Chia Pudding
This super easy chia pudding recipe from the talented Cristie from Little Big H is very versatile, serve plain or with babies favourite fruit puree.

2.Easy Strawberry Chia Seed Oatmeal for Babies
A yummy chia oatmeal recipe that is perfect for breakfast for baby and the whole family. If making for babies under 12 months leave out the honey.

3. Butternut Squash and Apple Baby Puree with Chia
Including chia seeds in a fruit or vegetable puree is an easy way to introduce chia to your baby’s diet.

4. Purple Chia Seed Pudding for Babies
This yummy chia pudding recipe includes blueberries and banana. The recipe uses almond milk but you can substitute with your baby’s regular milk if you prefer.

5. Baby Quinoa and Chia Blueberry Porridge
This delicious quinoa and chia blueberry porridge recipe is from the baby food gurus at One Handed Cooks. To save time in the morning you can make it the night before and then simple heat and serve in the morning.

6. Spiced Rice Pudding with Chia
A delicious spice rice pudding with chia seed this can be eaten warm or cold. Serve as it is or with baby’s favourite fruit puree.

7. Rockmelon, Banana & Chia Puree for Babies
This easy fruit and chia puree uses fresh banana and rockmelon and since there is no cooking required it is very quick to make. Because it contains fresh banana it is not suitable for freezing and should be made just prior to serving.

8. Berry Chia Jam
This jam is made with fruit, chia, maple syrup and vanilla. A healthier homemade alternative to the sugary jams available commercially.

9. Fruit Oat Chia Mini Chews
This slice made from fruit, oats and chia is baked in the oven and then sliced into small squares suitable for tiny fingers.

10. Quinoa and Chia Seed Choc Chip Biscuits
A treat for older babies, toddlers and their mothers these choc chip biscuits include quinoa and chia seeds for added nutrients.

Kale that nutritious green vegetable that has infiltrated our lives, hiding in our green juices, our salads, our soups, our snacks (kale chips anyone?) and now our baby food. Here are a collection of delicious kale puree recipes to introduce your baby to the trendiest of superfoods. You can also substitute the kale for swiss chard or spinach if you like.

1. Kale & Pumpkin Gratin
